Female Voice Over - Tabitha St Germain
MORE THAN ANYONE REALLY NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT TABITHA
Once there was a collection of cells in someone's pants. It was quiet. Then:
Born in Boston via an unlikely genetic collision, Tabitha has lived in Lesotho, Swaziland, and rural Nova Scotia.
Tabitha traveled widely as a kidlet, virtually vaulting through Europe and Africa on a flying suitcase. There's your romantic version-- the reality is more like: Xmas Eve, delayed at Heathrow:
Have a bit of sausage roll, dear. I've chopped it up with my nail file, I'm sure there's enough for all of us. What? Nail dust? Rubbish... Where? Oh… Well… One persons nail dust is another’s perfectly good protein. Tuck in!
Tabitha worked on stage in Toronto, progressing slowly from theatrical angst and ire; Agnes of God, Flowers, to lighter, sillier fare. The Importance of Being Earnest, Le Malade Imaginaire. One day a good friend, pronounced: "You're a goof!" And, like a ratty fairy had hit her with a ninny stick, it was so.
Tabitha won two Dora (Toronto Theatre) awards for best actress in a musical; The Barber of Seville, Assasins. When she wasn’t there to collect her awards, a small army of colleagues went to claim them for her. Bloodbaths ensued. Ah, the Theatah. She has neither statue.
After moving to Vancouver she did a bit of live action TV (The new Addams Family, Outer Limits, Da Vinci's Inquest etc), worked briefly in the theatre and won another award, this time for The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine, After a year in Vancouver, her time and attention were entirely swallowed by toons and anime. See here for an idea how many. This year she was nominated for an Elan Award (cartoon and gaming award) for her (multiple) roles in Ricky Sprocket, Showbiz Boy. Oh yes, now Tabitha, Blabitha,Tabi-a-gab-itha is a full-on cartoon.
That, ladies and germans, is the circle of life.
